How “Coffee House” Grew to 48 Coffee Shops
Founded in 2015, “Coffee House” grew from a student initiative into a leading take-away coffee chain in Armenia. The founders were two students—Arutyun and his friend—who opened the first branch near the Russian-Armenian University. Despite their enthusiasm, due to a lack of experience and a number of mistakes, the first location was closed after several months of operation.
Rethinking the approach while maintaining confidence in the idea, Arutyun, together with Narek—his friend who had recently returned from the army—decided to revive the project. Each of them invested 100,000 drams into the relaunch, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the company.

Since its founding and to this day, the company’s philosophy is built on three core values: kindness, love, and respect. These principles are reflected in all aspects of the company’s operations—from corporate culture to customer service. The founders are convinced that if a goal is significant enough and based on human values, success and profit will follow as a natural result.

“Through consistent development, attention to product quality, and stable management approaches, the company has succeeded in becoming the leader of the Armenian take-away coffee market. Today, the network comprises 48 coffee shops throughout Armenia, and the recent opening of its first international branch in Moscow marks the beginning of a new chapter in the brand’s development.”
An important step in strengthening quality and brand recognition was the opening of its own coffee roasting facility. This allowed not only greater control over flavor but also the ability to offer customers a unique coffee product. Today, “Coffee House” signature coffee can be enjoyed not only in beverages but also purchased as freshly roasted beans—directly in the chain’s coffee shops. Drip packs are also available, convenient for brewing anywhere—at home, in the office, or while traveling.

Products are already available at the Parma supermarket and will soon appear in other retail chains across Armenia. “Coffee House” is not just a business but a socially oriented project aimed at shaping a culture of hospitality, respectful communication, and conscious consumption. The company actively invests in staff training, the development of the local community, and the implementation of sustainable practices.
The story of “Coffee House” is an example of how initiative, responsibility, and adherence to principles can lead to sustainable and scalable success both nationally and internationally. And if you see someone walking through Yerevan with a smile and a cup of aromatic coffee, there is a high probability that it is coffee from “Coffee House.”
